SETTING UP YOUR ECOMMERCE ACCOUNT

In this section we will guide you through setting up your PowerHouse eCommerce account and integrating your Stripe account so you can send, receive and share payments.

STEP 1

If you haven’t already, subscribe for your (FREE) PowerHouse eCommerce Account HERE

Once you’ve done that you will land on the eCommerce Stripe Integration Page. (See image below)

STEP 2

If you don’t already have a Stripe Account you can click the link on the form as per the image below. A Stripe Account is also free to set up and in case you’re not familiar, it’s similar to PayPal.

STEP 3

If you haven’t set up a company, set everything up under your personal name as a Sole Trader. e.g. “Joe Blogs Sole Trader”. You can add your “Trading As” name later if you have one. It’s useful to use the same email address for your PowerHouse eCommerce Account and your Stripe Account but not necessary.

If you get asked for an NZBN number and you don’t have a registered company just leave it blank. You can always add it later down the track if you end up registering for one.

STEP 4

When you’re adding the customer support details in your Stripe Account we’ve given an example below of a good way to structure it.

The shortend descriptor makes it easy for people to identify where the payment came from when looking at their bank statement.

STEP 5

Once you are in your Stripe Account you will see a page like below. Click on the “GET STARTED” button under the “CONNECT” heading.

If you already have a Stripe Account. The feature of Stripe you need to activate to integrate with PowerHouse is this one

STEP 6

You will then see a screen like the one below. You want to “Facilitate multi-party payments with Connect.” So click the button that says “GET STARTED” that we have circled in red.

STEP 7

For this step just choose “PLATFORM OR MARKETPLACE” and click the blue continue button in the bottom right corner.

STEP 8

When you see the screen below click on “CREATE YOUR FIRST LIVE CONNECTED ACCOUNT.” It’s the one we’ve circled in red below.

STEP 9

You will now be asked a series of questions by Stripe. We have listed the questions below in the toggle. Just click the plus sign on the box to reveal the answer.

There is only one answer needed per question.

STEP 10

Now it’s time to head back to your browser to complete the rest of the form

For the “LIVE MODE CLIENT ID” field copy and paste “LIVE MODE CLIENT ID” from Stripe under “SETTINGS” and then ‘INTEGRATION” from the menu on the left hand side of the screen as seen in the image below.

STEP 11

Now do the same for “LIVE PUBLISHABLE ID” as seen in the image below.

STEP 12

Same again for “SECRET LIVE KEY” as seen in the image below.

STEP 13

Same again for “TEST MODE CLIENT ID” as seen in the image below.

STEP 14

Same again for “PUBLISHABLE TEST KEY” as seen in the image below.

STEP 15

Same again for “SECRET TEST KEY” as seen in the image below.

Same again for “ACCOUNT ID” as seen in the image below.

STEP 17

For this one copy the link provided from the the PowerHouse form and paste it into Stripe by clicking “WEBHOOKS” in the menu on the left hand side and then clicking the “ADD ENDPOINT” button in the top right of the screen. See the image below.

STEP 18

For this one we are going to copy the redirect url’s provided into Stripe. You can find this by clicking “SETTINGS” on the left hand side and then clicking “ADD URL” as shown in the image below.

Make sure to copy add all of the url’s provided otherwise your integration wont work properly.

ALL DONE

Now just click the “REGISTER” button as seen below and your PowerHouse eCommerce Account is set up and ready to go. 

NOTE: Make sure to double check that every field in the form is filled in correctly before you click “SUBMIT”.
